When we think of Japan, iconic destinations like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka often come to mind. But Japan is a diverse country of 47 prefectures, each with its own history, traditions, and character. Journeying Japan invites guests to discover this diversity right here at JFGM.
Tohoku, in northeastern Japan, is a beautiful region known for its rich traditions, stunning natural landscapes, delicious cuisine, and deep cultural heritage. Comprising six prefectures—Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima—Tohoku offers something for everyone, from nature lovers to those interested in Japan’s history and traditional culture.
On October 17, join us at the Education Center for a day of free crafts, workshops, lectures, and a stamp rally as we journey through the six prefectures of Tohoku!
