HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 29, 2018) – Old World Huntington Beach is once
again joining with the Kiwanis Club of Huntington Beach for its 41st annual
Oktoberfest opening day celebration on Sunday, September 9. This family-friendly
event starts at 2:00 pm and will feature carnival games, a live Oom-pah-pa band, great
German food and beverages, a raffle and Old World’s famous Wiener Dog Races.
Old World Restaurant will be generously donating all proceeds from Opening Day
admission tickets purchased to the Kiwanis Club to assist their efforts to help those in
need in our local community. General admission for opening day is $5, but guests can
take advantage of a special opening day offer of $10 for admission and a meal.
Non-profits, schools, clubs, sports teams and other organizations can raise money any
Wednesday or Thursday during Old World’s Oktoberfest by taking advantage of its
Fundraiser Parties. Tickets are discounted for resale and good for admission and a

About Old World’s Oktoberfest
As Orange County’s original Oktoberfest party since 1978, for 8 weeks visitors will be
able to enjoy Chicken Dancing, Oom-Pah-Pa music and more. Guests will enjoy
authentic German Food (voted "Best Bratwurst" in California), imported German Beers,
German Bands straight from Germany, German Dancing, an army of Beautiful Shot
Girls, and other festivities, competitions, games and more.
This year’s Oktoberfest will run Wednesday through Sunday, September 9 through
October 28. Wednesdays and Thursdays are FREE and open to all ages (anyone under
21 must be accompanied by parent) from 6:30pm-10:30pm. Fridays and Saturdays are
open to anyone 21 and over with valid identification from 6:30 pm to 1:00 am.
Admission is $10 on Fridays and $10 on Saturdays in September and $15 in October.
Sunday is KINDERFEST and open to all ages (anyone under 21 must be accompanied
by parent) from 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Dachshund Races are held every Sunday from
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Adults are $10, kids 6-12 are $3 and 5 and under are FREE.

The Kiwanis Club of Huntington Beach was founded in 1961. Its members volunteer
their efforts to serve the youth of our own community and to assist needy individuals in
our neighborhoods. Currently, with about 100 members, the Kiwanis Foundation of

also the senior citizens and military of our community.
